My Best Moments of 2017

Happy New Year to you lovely lot! I hope you had a wonderful 2017 and are feeling inspired for the New Year. I love reading through ‘Year in Review’ style posts as I think it’s such a lovely way to focus and look over the positives of the year. You can see my review from last year here, and I wanted to keep the tradition going.

I feel incredibly lucky to say that 2017 was a year full of travel for me. I completed a 3 month trip around Asia, which is a massive highlight, not only of the year but of my life so far. When I look back I am just so pleased that I took the chance, left my job and set of for 3 months of incredible experiences and adventure. My blog was only a few months old when I left back in February, so perhaps this is the first time you’ve heard of my trip. Travelling is something that I find immensely valuable and I always want to do as much as I can, so I hope to be lucky to explore just as much in 2018!

2017 has been a year where I’ve really become aware of the true value of family and how precious time spent with your loved ones is. From birthday barbecues and weekend breaks with my family, to a girly trip away with my best friends. I feel so lucky to be able to look back on so many positive memories shared with them throughout the year. So here’s to another year of lovely memories and a magical 2018 for us all. 🙂

2017...

The first stop on our 3 month travels was Nepal, where we stayed mostly in Kathmandu & took a short trip to Pokhara – February 2017

Followed by a couple of weeks in Cambodia during which we made our way through Siem Reap, Battambang, Kampot, Sihanoukville and Phnom Penh – March 2017

Then on to Vietnam, which turned out to be one of my favourite places we visited. During our 3 weeks we explored Ho Chi Minh, Mui Ne, Nha Trang, Hoi An, Hanoi and Halong Bay. – March 2017

Next we stopped off in the incredible and breathtaking Singapore – April 2017

April took us to Malaysia, to explore Kuala Lumpur, the Perhentian Islands and Penang – April 2017

And finally, Bali, our last stop of the trip where we spent our time between Seminyak, Ubud and Gili T – April / May 2017

During our time in Bali, we completed a 1:30am sunrise climb up Mt Batur, which was such an incredible experience and one that I will always remember – Bali – May 2017

As soon as we arrived home it was on to the Cotswolds to celebrate my Grandma’s 80th birthday.

June saw a long weekend full of laughter in Budapest with my best friends.

Shortly after it was time for birthday celebrations, we hired a bouncy slide and had the best day! – August 2017

In October Will & I set off to Milan for a long weekend fuelled by pizza, pasta & aperol – October 2017
