Red is the colour of the season, it’s everywhere at the moment and an injection of the bright cherry shade could be just what your Autumn wardrobe needs for an effective refresh.
Whether it’s a pair of trousers, a jumper or even some ankle boots, you’re sure to find whatever it is you’re after in the striking shade. As someone who is rarely spotted in such bright colours, usually opting for a more neutral colour palette, the bright orange-y red was a welcome addition to my wardrobe. And a trend I could definitely get on board with. This jumper is from Monki, via ASOS and is my first dip into the trend.
Red and gold compliment each other beautifully and this jumper, paired with simple gold jewellery, creates a gorgeous Autumnal colour palette. I’d really recommend gold accessories whichever way you opt to wear your red, it’s my favourite combination at the moment. Here I’m wearing a simple gold necklace from ASOS. The chain is just long enough to rest over the jumper, adding an element of interest to the neckline.
I feel very festive on the days where I select this from my wardrobe, like my outfit is a nod to the season, and I’ve had a lot of compliments on the shade too!
To complete the look, I’m wearing my sock boots from Zara. These are the newest addition to my wardrobe and quite frankly, I’m in love. A purchase that was a bit of an experiment has turned into something that will be key in my Autumn/Winter wardrobe. And on my eyes, the beautiful coppery shades from the Violet Voss x Nicol Concilio palette, of course.
Will you be experimenting with the red trend this season?
