I absolutely adore a European city break and being from London I always appreciate just how quick and easy it is to reach such an range of different destinations. We are so lucky that after just a couple of hours on a flight, we can spend our weekend experiencing a totally new culture.
If you’re one of my followers over on instagram, you might already know that I recently spent a girly weekend in Budapest. And while I don’t feel as if I did and explored enough to warrant a full travel guide, I still wanted to share a little bit about my trip. Including my favourite outfit that I wore over the weekend.
First of all, I purchased this floral top, from Boohoo via ASOS. Everything yellow and floral seems to be catching my eye at the moment! I also picked up the belt I am wearing, which I’m loving as a new addition to my wardrobe. I’ve been after a statement belt for a while because I love how they can instantly amp up an outfit. And this one from ASOS was just £10!
I loved Budapest much more than I expected to. I knew I was going to have a great time away with my best friends, but I didn’t expect to enjoy the city as much as I did. The architecture is stunning and it’s such a pleasant city to stroll around. Plus there are so many things that you can do for free, making it pretty affordable to explore once you’re there.
As well as being a really beautiful city, Budapest also has great nightlife. Depending on what you are into, the Ruin Bars, which granted were not as ruined as I had expected, were a lot of fun. In my head I’d imagined we’d be climbing over rubble to get to the bar, in open-air ancient ruins with no roof. When actually they were just inside some of Budapest’s old buildings, so don’t ask where I got that idea from! If you’re heading to Budapest and plan to go to the Bath Party, definitely count this into your budget, as it will eat up a hefty chunk at €50 just for entry!
Let me know if you’ve been to Budapest and how did you find it?!
