The L'Oreal Infallible Nudist Matte Lip Paints caught my eye as soon as they were released. A new selection of beautiful matte lip shades to try and only £6 a pop?! Sold!
My first purchase from the collection was the shade Off White, a pale pinky/peachy nude. I loved it so much that this was quickly followed by an impulse lunch-break 3 for 2 purchase and I'm now the proud owner of three more shades. Babe'in, Dead Lips and Hollywood Beige.
Hollywood Beige is the only shade out of my collection that doesn't technically belong to the Nudist range. It's a just-bright-enough coral-y pink shade. Straying slightly away from the nudes, however it makes for the perfect shade for summer.
Once the L'Oreal Lip Paints are applied they feel really nice and smooth on the lips for a good few hours. Creamy and light, with an almost mousse-y texture to them. I would say that after about 3-4 hours, you would need to reapply as the colour will have faded slightly, though not totally worn off. If you are eating and drinking, you will probably need to re-apply after your meal.
I find the lip paints to re-apply really well over the top of the first application, without having to remove any of the remaining product. One of my favourite things about the L'oreal Lip Paints is that they don't go flakey or clumpy on re-application, like I have experienced with slightly dryer matte liquid lip formulas.
Honestly, this has to be my favourite matte liquid lip formula so far. The fact that it's a cream formula, means it is much less drying on the lips, allowing for comfortable wear all day without the need for lip balm on top.
Depending on how much you apply, the L'Oreal Lip Paints may or may not completely dry. A slightly thicker layer gives a finish, that while still matte, remains slightly creamy, whereas a thinner layer allows for the product to dry more quickly. But whichever you choose they are extremely comfortable to wear.
My favourite way to apply is to swipe the product along the bottom lip, then rub my lips together to distribute the product, then use whatever is left on the brush to fill in the gaps.
Have you tried any of the L'Oreal Lip Paints? Let me know what colour I should get next - I'm obsessed!
