I’ve just got home from my final festive meal of the year. After waving goodbye to all of the family that we’ve had to stay, it really does feel like the end of the festivities. I’m so ready to get back into the swing of things and be super productive after the most wonderful and relaxing couple of days.
I thought it would be nice to include some festive highlights in a (very!) picture heavy post. So, as a more personal post amongst a sea of beauty and fashion content, have a peek below if you’d like to see more of how I spent the past couple of days.
It has become somewhat of a tradition in my family to build an elaborate gingerbread house every year. This year we decided to take things one step further and make a gingerbread village. To be totally honest I’m not sure my sister Rachel and I could have pulled this off if it wasn’t for the help of our mum, who very conveniently makes cakes for a living!
Our tree is a total mish-mash. No colour scheme, no matching baubles, just a collection of memories. And that’s just how I like it. It’s so lovely to look at the Christmas tree and have each decoration remind you of a different year, amazing trip or special time in life.
With Santa themed napkins, scratch cards and chair covers, and red everywhere you look, our Christmas lunch table set up might be festive overkill for some. But Christmas time is the best time for decoration overload. Right?!
I hope you enjoyed this little look into what I got up to this Christmas and Boxing day and I hope you all had the most wonderful time eating, drinking and being festive!
