If you only invest in one Zoeva palette, make sure it’s this one. The Nude Spectrum palette is stunning, containing 15 eyeshadows ranging from a bright champagne highlight to a matte black. There’s not a single shade in here that you wont use. And for £28.50 it’s slightly more affordable than other quality shadow palettes with the same amount of shades.
I’ve said this before about Zoeva palettes but the only negative for me, is the lack of mirror inside. Though this means that the palette is super light and compact. This is only the palette I’m going to be taking travelling with me for 3 months, and that’s saying something! I’m also not too keen on the cardboard packaging in the black colour. It gets so messy with the fallout from the shadows and is really hard to clean. But this isn’t something that would matter to most.
What sold me on this palette over the Warm Spectrum or Cool Spectrum palettes was that every single shade is so wearable. And the burnt coppery red-brown shade in the centre is just stunning. In the larger Zoeva palettes the shades don’t have names, only numbers so they are slightly harder to refer to, but it’s not a huge issue.
As always with Zoeva the shadows are great quality and can be used wet for extra intensity. The lighter shades in the palette require a little more building to get them to an opaque level, but that’s nothing out of the ordinary.
Overall there’s a great variation in matte shades, enabling you to create day and night time looks. And some gorgeous unusual shimmery shades too. If you’re looking to buy a Zoeva palette, the Nude Spectrum is a great place to start.
