Drugstore Picks: Revlon Nail Enamels

Happy Thursday! We’re almost there with the first working week of the year. Hope it has been as productive as you wanted it to be! I have to be honest, I’m extremely pleased it’s Friday tomorrow!

Today I just wanted to quickly chat about the Revlon Nail Enamels. Revlon is my go to brand for nails at the moment, and I’ve accumulated quite a few of these. There are just so many great shades and at such a great price. Usually they retail for £6.49 but are currently £4.49 in Boots! So if you ever wanted to pick any up, now’s the time.

Why They’re Great

The Brush : It’s the perfect size, thickness, has the perfect amount of flex & doesn’t fray

The Consistency : So easy to apply. Goes on smooth and even, just two coats required for a strong finish. And they never do that horrible bubbly thing.

The Packaging : I just overall love the look and packaging of these. The lid is a good size to get a grip on and they don’t too look cheap.

Why They’re Not So Great

Staying Power : Not the best staying power out of every single polish i’ve ever tried. But for the price? Still a win. I can usually go about 4-5 days without chipping and by then I’m probably getting small chips on my most used nails.

The Shades

On the left, the shade One Perfect Coral, a warm, almost neon coral shade. I obsessed with how this one looks in the summer – it’s my go to for holiday nails.

Then, Fuchsia Fever, followed by Teak Rose. I have Teak Rose on my nails right now. It’s the perfect Winter pink, a warm dusky rose with a hint of Terracotta.

Next is Rebel Graffiti. I believe they renamed this shade, as the one I have is called ‘Rich’ but I’m certain the colour is the same. I love this shade. It’s a really cool charcoal grey, packed with golden shimmers, so unique.

And finally, Vixen. My favourite shade of the bunch and the one I’ve been coveting for the past couple of weeks. It’s the perfect Wintery purple and the name suits it to a T.

Next on my list? I’ve got my eye on Grey Suede and Elegant. I’m lusting after all things nude right now!

Have you tried these? Do you think they’re any good?!

They are so great – you definitely should if you can! Xx

  • Hi, Frances! I am a big fan of Revlon nail enamel. I actually only like the classic line although Revlon has brought out more than a few different varieties. I have Fuchsia Fever and Vixen (a great Chanel Vamp dupe) as well. My other favorites would be Revlon Red and Perplex(discontinued).
